Default Whirlpool Dishwasher trips thermal fuse
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: DU1145XTPQ0
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have a whirlpool dishwasher that keeps tripping thermal fuses. I've replaced the control board, new door switches, a new heater element, a themostat, and several thermal fuses. It will cycle up to draining the water out of the tub and then trips leaving the water in the bottom. What gives? Is it the motor capacitor, the thermistor??? There's not too many more electrical parts left! Looking forward to your reply.

I have the exact same problem with my GU1200XTKQO. Seems to be a common problem. I have replaced my control board as well and it blew another fuse always at the same point during the drain cycle. I suspect a motor overheating problem. I found a Feb. 2005 CPSC recall for motor wiring overheating problem. I'm wondering if they the problems are connected.
