The dishwasher motor runs, but the water won't run into it. Checked the water line coming in and the dishwasher water valve screen is clear. What else should we check?

continuity check on the coil (water valve)
Also, check float assembly. Pick it up and let it drop (be nice and easy) listen for the click.
Usually simple like float or bad solenoid on water valve,
