Default Washing machine not drying or releasing Jet Dry
Brand: Other
Model Number: Bosch - Can't find a number
Age: 5 - 10 years

We got a Bosch dishwasher (SMU2046UC/14 )with the house - it does not dry the dishes or dispense Jet-Dry. Any suggestions on what the problem(s) might be or solutions?

The Jet-Dry dispenser shows no visible clogging, but - I've take the door off, and ran through the cycle manually. The mechanics work outside the dispenser - there's a lever that DOES release at the right time, so I'm thinking it has to be clogged in some way. Thanks.

Sorry cannot help much without a Model number
Have you checked the door edges and jamb also for a tag just inside the tub
It may also be on the frame but you will have to remove the kick plate to find it

Interesting - looks like it was etched into the top of the door (was pretty hard to read.) But its a SMU2046UC/14 .

Sorry cannot find much info on this unit though the Bosch website does have a parts breakdown for it
As far as the drying goes open the unit up during a dry cycle, is the heating element on. If you have a plate warming cycle also try this.
If not on, remove the kick plate and one wire from the element and measure it for continuity
If it is OK then your problem is further up the line (thermostat, temp over limit fuse or the timer)
To repair the rinse aid dispenser you will have to take the door apart and figure out how it works
Perhaps someone else has more info and can help make this less painful
