Default Washer won't fill or agitate
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: LAT9593
Age: More than 10 years

Washer stopped suddenly in the middle of filling. Will drain and spin on any cycle, but will not fill or agitate, even when water is added manually. Machine just stops as soon as the unit exits a spin cycle. Any ideas are appreciated.

Default

Change the temperature setting of the water and see if it will fill.

Change the water level setting and see if it will fill.

The washer will not agitate until it is full.

Check and see if there is a wire burnt off in the control panel.

Here is a link to your washer model LAT9593.

You will need the last three letter of your model number to get a exact picture.

For anyone with this same problem... on my Maytag unit there happens to be a 1AMP fuse in the control panel. Apparently only certain models of the same vintage have this. There was no current past the fuse, so the fuse was it. Good thing... I was just about out of whites. Thanks for the feedback.
