Default Upper spray arm not washing
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: DWU7300BAX
Age: More than 10 years

The dishwasher's not cleaning well. I've been through the water valve, spray arms and filter. All looking good, but I noticed the upper spray arm doesn't move when I start / stop the machine. The hose is clear and no obstructions in the impeller. Water does spin the lower arm. I can't see the water spraying because the machine stops before I get the door open.
It looks to me like the one pump ought to be supplying both circuits. Any help before I buy a new pump?

Check the wash impeller for damage.

If there is damage to the impeller it will not be able to force the water up to the upper spray arm.

Here is a the wash impeller.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model DWU7300BAX.

Thanks. I saw no damage but did not remove the impeller. I'll take it out for a closer look.
