Default Upper arms do not spin
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: gu2500xtpq3
Age: 1 - 4 years

The middle and upper arms do not get enough water pressure to make them spin. The middle arm gets water, just not enough to spin. The upper arm gets nothing.

So far I have done the following:
Did find broken glass and ramen soup wrapper in front of the disposal. Replaced disposal.
Verified no blockages in arms or pipe that feeds the upper arms.
If i remove the lower arm and run the dishwasher while covering the lower arm outlet, there is enough pressure to spin the middle arms, and send some water to the top arms.
Verified the dishwasher drains quickly and completely.

The only things I can think of are 1) water level - don't know how high it should be, and 2) replace motor and pump facility. Help!

The water level should be to the bottom of the float switch.

There is a check valve in the pump base.

Make sure that is is sealing.

Here is a link to your dishwasher modle gu2500xtpq3.
