Default Top Spray Arm Leak
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSD5310D03BB
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have the GE model GSD5310D03BB. I have a small leak that I was able to trace to the outside of the TOP spray arm. It is not coming from the rubber elbow or the hose but from the inside of the hole through the tub where the rubber elbow joins up with the upper spray arm. When I removed the spray arm... I thought I found some saran wrap. So I figured this must have been what caused the leak. So I reassembled it and it still leaked. I then took the upper spray arm to a Camco parts shop and explained to them my situation. They said that I should put some silicone in between the rubber elbow and the upper spray arm. This seems to make SOME sence but there is quite a bit of play / room in between the rubber elbow and the upper spray arm. I tend to think that even if I put the silicone.. this will not fix the issue. BUT maybe the "saran wrap" that I removed was not "saran wrap" but some old silicone????? It was pretty chewed up. Should I try the silicone??? Has any one doe something before??? Any suggestions?
