Default Top arm not spinning
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FDB750RCCO
Age: 1 - 4 years

Water is coming out of top nozzle, but with not much force. Made sure pipe from below had no obstruction. Made sure swing arm holes are clear. Checked for sufficient water level.
Changed motor and pump assembly with no change in symptoms.
Cleaned and inspected ball check. No visible problems.
Does this ball serve to alternate flow between top and bottom arms?
Could this ball arrangement be causing my problem?

Check your spray arms for cracks.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model FDB750RCCO.

Same problem with same brand here. All looks good; impeller, no obstructions, new arms. If I pull check ball and leave out it works. What is purpose of check ball anyway?

Your sidwinder motor has polled and now running in the wrong direction!
Take all the water out and remove pump parts till you see the pump impeller.
Close door and tuln on, open door and see what direction the impeller turns, probably the wrong way. Only solution is pump/motor replacement.

I had the same problem, motor spins counterclockwise facing impeller. I've had check ball out for weeks and it works great.

I HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM AND FOUND THIS POSTING ON ANOTHER SITE. I SOLVED MY PROBLEM BY SIMPLY REMOVING THE BALL, CLEANING IT AND THE SLIDE IT WAS ON AND REASSEMBLING. YOU WILL THINK IT ISN"T WORTH IT TO PUT THE BALL BACK IN, BUT YOU WILL BE WRONG. THE BALL ALLOWS THE WATER TO HIT HARD ON THE TOP RACK AT CERTAIN TIMES AND THE LOWER RACK AT OTHER TIMES. IF YOU HAVE BOTH HITTING AT ONCE, IT ISN"T ENOUGH POWER AND YOUR DISHES WON"T BE SUPER CLEAN> Turns out that the top arm on these dishwashers with the check ball do not run all the time - only during some of the cycles. As said below the guy tells you how to trick your dishwasher into thinking it is at a cycle to run the top arm. -

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
..<some> dishwashers work different then any others that I know of.

Only one arm sprays at a time, they alternate from bottom to top sprayer only in the 3rd and 4th wash cycles, (I believe, you would have to look at your schematic chart to tell for sure). You should be able to find your schematic chart behind the door panel, remove the panel to find it.

... the standard check ball ... moves to block the water flow to upper or lower wash arms.

To simulate the pause that causes the check ball to move you can push the door open lever while holding the door shut to interupt power for about 1 second then release. If the upper spray arms starts you will know by the change in sound. The sound will be much louder when the upper arm is spraying compared to the lower arm. Sometimes you will have to do this a couple of times to get it to switch.
