Default Is this a timer issue???
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FDB750RCC1
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have been working on this dishwasher off and on now for about 2 weeks. Here is the history of what has gone on. Initially, my wife tried to start the wash cycle and the dishwasher would not come on at all. I've checked the door latch and it was fine and checked the wiring. This also seemed fine. Anyway I turned the power back on to run and clear my garbage disposal and since I had put the door back together on the dishwasher I left the power on. Well anyway around 12:30 the dishwasher started running on it's own and this was about 10-12 hrs after turning the breaker back on. This is actually the second time this has happened. I apply power back to the circuit and the dishwasher works sometimes, but if I open the door or turn the power off and back on it won't start up again....that is until it makes up it's own mind to do so.

Can this be because the timer is just not moving or working through the cycles as it was originally designed to do (ie just running or moving super slow)? Any help would really be appreciated. The timer for this model is about 130.00 and I would just like to be sure before paying a quarter of what we paid for the entire dishwasher for a part just to find out that it still didn't fix it.
Thanks
os

If you get an answer please let me know. Mine hasn't run for 2 days, but tech said just put it on delay wash and see if it does anything. At 4:10 am yesterday, I was taking some medicine in the kitchen and it started to run. Scared the ... out of me. I didn't expect that. I opened the door, and it hasn't run since. I did all the things you did as well. I hate to put $120 plus into it. It is only two years old and I didn't pay too much for it to begin with new. Sounds like we have the same problem.

Let me know if you find out anything from anyone.

Thanks,
John

Here is a link to some info on this unit. Hopefully it will help.
Frigidaire Product Manual

It sound like a timer motor is running slow but that does not make sense because you should still be able to put it the middle of a cycle and it should run.
Have you tried running with all heat options off?
Could be contact 6C in the timer is dirty

Could be a a bad/dirty connector
