Question Start/Cancel Button
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MDB9750AWW
Age: 1 - 4 years

HI there, I'm new to this forum and have done repairs on my appliances before.

All of the buttons on my dishwasher are working (lighting up) EXCEPT for the Start/Cancel button. From reading an earlier post on a similar model, it sounds like it's the control panel. Possibly a short in the ribbon connector?? When I search this model, the only parts available are for a series 10 model. My serial number starts with 30548... which tells me it's a series 30. Right? So simply ordering a panel isn't an option.

Any ideas anyone?
Thanks,
Dan

PS If I get a replacement panel, are the buttons part of the panel, or are the buttons part of the board

Open the control panel and check for corrosion on the ribbon cable.

The ribbon connector is a part of the control panel part number ps920575.

The series 10 after the part is indicating that the last change in the part started with the series 10 and has not change senses then. The parts listed are for your dishwasher.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model MDB9750AWW.

The ribbons both look like new. Would you suggest that I order this part? After removing the ribbons and reconnecting them, the start button is still the only one not to light.

The control board also looks to be in great shape.

Thanks for your help,
Dan

My ribbon connector looks like new. Think I should order the control panel???

Any tips about which I should replace first???

(this is my fourth time replying, yet none have showed up on the thread. What have I been doing wrong??)

Thanks,
Dan

I wound up buying a control panel locally at a PREMIUM since I had a problem posting.

It turned out it was the control panel though.
