I am replacing the Spray Arm Support (PartSelect.com part # PS2605640) in my Hotpoint dishwasher. I was able to partially unscrew the support, but it is not easily removed from the dishwasher. The assembly turns and I can't remove it.

Is the normal procedure for replacing this support to remove the dishwasher first? Should the seal be replaced?

You shouldn't have to remove the dishwasher.

There is a clamp underneath the dishwasher that you will have to release.
