Default Split Ring Seal
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSD500P-35AW
Age: 5 - 10 years

I wanted to replace the SPLIT RING SEAL (PS259156) in the Spray arm/hub support, but I see these parts are replaced by WD35X10011 which seems to be a redesign including all the parts.

Does anyone know if this is a direct replacement, do I need to replace the "CONNECTOR PUMP ASM",does the machine have to be pulled out - in other words how difficult will this be? and does the new part come with instructions?

The old HUB SPRAY ARM had one center screw holding it in place.

Thanks for any help

The number wd35x10011 is a new spray arm assembly.

You will not have to replace the connector and pump and assembly.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model GSD500P-35AW.

I ordered the new part and put it in - working great.

Be aware the "CONNECTOR PUMP ASM"(part #455) needs to be replaced(included), as the replacement is threaded different. Instructions call for the machine to be removed from the cabinet so the pump can be dropped to get enough clearance.

I was able to cut off the old "ASM" and "squeeze" the replacement on with much difficulty, without removing the machine. I would not do this again or recommend it as it put great strain on everything.
This is not a simple unscrew the old and screw on the new.
