Default Soap on everything in dishwasher
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSD55OOGOO
Age: 1 - 4 years

My dishes and especially silverware come out dirty after they are washed. I am not talking about food stuck on dirty, I mean, glasses all cloudy and almost everything has soap caked on it, especially the silverware since it is in front of the soap dispenser. What should I do? The glasses used to come out crystal clear. I have tried all the jet dries and all those type of products. I have switched soaps, nothing works. It seems like there is not enough water pressure or something to clean all the soap off.

Turn the dishwasher on and let it fill.

When the water stops coming in open the door and see where the water level is.

The water level should be just below the heating element.

If the water level is good check and see if the spray arms are turning.

Point the arms toward the door and close the door and let it wash for a couple of second.

Open the door and see if the arms have moved.

If the arms have not moved there is a problem with the pump.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model GSD5500G00.
