Default Siemens - No display & wants to start on its own
Brand: Other
Model Number: Siemens SL95A
Age: 1 - 4 years

Our dishwasher took on a life of it's own. The digital display is blank and the door won't latch closed. When it is turned on, it begins spraying water, but the display is still blank. It seems like it is stuck at the end of a cycle. I've tried the "Cancel Drain" function as described in the owners mannual, but that does nothing. Is there a way to reset the entire dishwasher? Is there a different diagnosis?
Thanks!
Matt

If you have a faulty door latch this could be causing the display to be non responsive.

There may be a problem with the board.

Can you please verify your model number?

It should be on a tag on the edge of the dishwasher where the door closes.

Where was the dishwasher purchased?

Sheila -
I appreciate your help. After reading your post I checked the door latch and noticed that part of the plastic had sheared completely off. I ordered and installed a new latch. I now have a working dishwasher and a happy wife! Thanks again!
