Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 15634000
Age: 5 - 10 years

First it was making a loud grinding sound. Now it takes in water, but it will not wash or go through the cycles and it now willl not pump out.

It sounds like something has got in to the pump and broke the impeller.

Does the motor still run in both the wash and drain cycle?

Here is a link to the part of your dishwasher model 15634000.

Here is the wash and drain impeller kit.

You may have a bad motor.
