Default Sequence won't reset
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSD4330Z02WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

When pressing reset, the LED flashes for a while, during which time the sequence should be reset (pump out, soap door open etc.), but nothing happens. Following this, the normal LED continues to flash with a beeping. If the reset is pressed again, the same thing happens all over.

I have looked through this forum and found the same symptom on another GE machine:- http://forums.partselect.com/dishwas...anel-4496.html. I followed the suggestion there and checked the sequencer switch, but it seems to be ok. When I reassembled the machine and pressed the reset, the sequencer switch cycled (I heard the sequencer motor run for a few seconds) but then the symptoms returned again - normal LED continue to flash etc.

I then checked the circuit board of the Control Switch Assembly (GE part #WD21X10100 PS260154) and noticed some areas of the circuit were slightly corroded. I cleaned the board with rubbing alcohol and it looked fine. But still no go - the same symptoms exist.

It seems to me that the Control Switch Assembly is faulty, but before I replace it I would like to attempt further troubleshooting. I didn't find a tech sheet in the machine, does anyone have one they could scan for me? Is there a circuit diagram and parts description available for the Control Switch Assembly? Any other suggestions?

It does sound like the control has failed.

You may find the technician sheet stuck to the bottom of the tub or in the bottom panel.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model GSD4330Z02WW.
