Default Runs through cycles, no water comes in
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSD3304X03WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have already replaced the water inlet valve (and turned the water back on) to no effect. Float is free and the switch seems to make contact fine, though I will test that later today.

Pump motor sounds no different than it did before (or at least I can't tell the difference). Sounds like there is water in there, but none enters the dishwasher for any cycle. Detergent is released, and sits there waiting for water. It has been waiting for a few days now.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Craig

Edit: Water inlet valve is not getting an electrical current to open. I ran the dishwasher with my voltmeter across the wires leading to the inlet valve, and nothing.

The model number is correct. But in the end, it is a $200 dishwasher that came with the house 7 years ago. I had a repairman come in, and he diagnosed a bad timer unit. Considering the cost of a timer and the installation, we bought a new dishwasher. We are selling the home, so we have no incentive to buy a really nice dishwasher for this starter home.

Sad commentary on appliances and environmental concerns these days when it's cheaper to buy a new unit and throw out the old one, isn't it?
