Default Replacing a Drain Pump
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MDBtt59AWB
Age: 1 - 4 years

Drain pump siezed. Popped the pump with a hammer, made a lot of noise and started working again. Quit two days later, again popped it, made more noise. Draining seems to be slow. So, ordered a replacement pump/motor .

Are there any tricks to installing this. It looks like a press fitting into the bottom of the dishwasher base, two screws into the holding bracket, and attaching the drain hose. Something else I should be careful of? Thanks in advance for any help.

Tks for the reply. Looks like a fairly easy replace. Looks like it just twists into the bottom of the washer base; that's the thing I was most concerned about. Might give it a shot tonight.

Tks Again
