Default Replacing Dishwasher Dispenser
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: fdb510lc
Age: More than 10 years

Hi there,

I just recently fixed the motor on the dishwasher, and now the soap dispenser won't open after it finishes through the cycles. I'm currently manually opening it mid way through the cycle to get the detergent into the water.

I've identified either the wax motor or the whole dispenser unit as the cause of the problem. I can go cheap and try to swop out the motor or spend $30 more and replace the whole unit.

My problem is this... I've already examined the part, and have already disconnected it from the original (Red) and (White) wire that gets it's power from. Unfortunately i had forgotten to label which wire goes to which prong on the wax motor. Could you advise as which wire goes to what. There is a red and a white wire. If you were looking at it in front of you, would the which wire goes to the front and which goes to the back. see the parts page. Also would it be better if i just buy the part separate, though i dont see it listed under that Item number:

Thanks for your help.. great forum..for use do it urselfers..

It does not matter which wire goes on what prong either way will work.

Can you please verify your model number as there is a least one character missing at the end.
