Replaced heating element, still won't dry dishes
Brand:
Kenmore
Model Number:
665
Age:
1 - 4 years
We had a service guy out who said the heating element is bad in our fairly new Kenmore dishwasher. We replaced the heating element but it still won't heat up. Do we need to reset the microprocessor? Is there something else we might be missing?
Thanks

Can you please supply the rest of your model number?
There should be six to eight more numbers after the 665.
It may be the thermostat that has failed.

Thank you for the reply! The other numbers are:
665.17373300
The repair guy said it wasn't the thermostat, could he be wrong? it cycles through the washes, but the heating element never heats up...

It could be the thermostat but if the technician check it and says it good then it should be.
If you have a meter you can check it your self.
It could be the vent wax motor that is faulty.
If the vent is not opening at the end of the cycle it would hold the heat in the dishwasher and open the thermostat so the heater would not come on.
