Replace Kenmore heating element Brand: Kenmore Model Number: 665.16373301 Age: 1 - 4 years Hello!
I have a Kenmore 665.16373301 dishwasher. The dishes are not coming clean or dry. I have an open circuit between the white with red tracer and the white (the connectors were disconnected from the electronic control unit). The Hi-Limit Thermostat is closed. For these reasons, I am assuming the heating element is open, but I cannot get to it to verify this. There are no obvious defects on the outside of the heater.
From other posts, it appears I should be able to access the electrical leads and the mounting nuts for the heater from the front. On this model, the electrical box is on the front right side and the water valve on the front left side. I cannot get my arm to either end of the heating element.
At this point, would I be better off pulling the unit out from under the cabinet or should I pull the pump assembly out and remove the heater wires and mounting nuts via the hole in the center of the unit?
Thank you in advance for any help! |
