Default Removing Drain Impeller
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FDB232RBR0
Age: 5 - 10 years

I was having issues with my my d/w not cleaning well. So I started to investigate. I found that the wash impeller and diffuser and macerator blade were all eaten up and/or bent. I replaced these parts and wow I had a lot more water pressure.

But I notice a few more issues. First, I noticed water was slowly draining from the d/w while it was in the wash cycle. So by the end of the cycle there was very little water in the machine. There was not even enough water to spray the detergent during the normal cycle. I found that I had a bad check valve (which was the source of the backwash I occasionally had). I was told that I wold need to replace the Drain Impeller to fix the slow "leak". However I cannot seem to remove it. Is this really the problem?

How can I remove the drain impeller?

Also, I noticed that sometimes the water fills and sometimes it doesn't and sometimes it does not fill to the proper level.

Additionally, I have the rinse agent dispenser disconnected with the two contacts separately taped off.

Any help with solving these three issues would be appreciated.

1. slow "leak" of water wile running
2. remove drain impeller
3. inconsistent filling at different cycles.

TIA.

Default Update

I took a voltmeter to the Water Inlet Valve when it was supposed to be filling and it reported correct voltage. So it looks like a bad valve. I disassembled the valve thinking I could repair it. It work a little better, but was still failing. So I guess I need to order this part.

I am still looking for suggestions on how to remve the drain impeller if that will fix my slow draining issues above. I am about to take a chisel to it.

Help is appreciated.
