 Pump / motor removal Brand: KitchenAid Model Number: KDU Age: 5 - 10 years
I found a piece of broken glass jammed under the grinding blade which must have burned or siezed the pump. I am going to try to replace myself. Is this a fairly straightforward job? The dealer suggested I bring it in and have them replace it cause he said there are special tabs that you have to know where they are located or else it will be major. Is this true?
What are the proper steps? I see the cutaway on this site but still need to know if the assembly comes out from the top and exactly how it comes out. What can you offer in the way of help on this. Thanks
