Default Problem with GE Dishwasher
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GE Dishwasher - GSD4921X65BB
Age: 5 - 10 years

I've been having this problem with my GE Dishwasher. It started with the dishwasher sitting idle and the PF (Power Failure) light flashing just randomly. Usually we could just bump the door and the flashing would stop. But then a little while later, maybe 3 or 4 weeks, the flashing would come on any time that the door was left open. The dishwasher worked fine at first when we closed the door and then started it on its regular cycle. Recently, though which has been a couple of more weeks since, we couldn't get the dishwasher to start when we closed the door and locked the latch. Then it also would fill up with water and either stop right after it filled up or go through the first stage of the cycle and then stop or even go through to the point of just before it would release the soap and then stop. It became a "hit or miss" kind of thing. Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. At this point, it will not start no matter what we do.

This problem could be caused by one of the following:

A faulty switch membrane. Number 957 on parts breakdown.

A faulty control board. Number 905 on parts breakdown.

A broken wire.

With a problem like this it is best to have a qualified technician in to look at it.

Here is link to your dishwasher model GSD4921X65BB.
