Default Possesed
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KUDS25SHWH1
Age: 5 - 10 years

My Dishwasher run fine until it reaches the rinse cycle.
When it goes into rinse mode the child lock led and the econo led blinks
and I can hear a clicking sound like a relay going on and off comming from the control
panel.

It does finish the dish washing but I think that something is failing.

Thanks for your help

I am not sure but there may be a recall on your dishwasher.

If not your control is faulty.

Here is a number to call and find out.

Make sure that you have your model and serial number off the dishwasher when you make the call.

UPDATE

Yesterday none of the buttons were working and the 2-LED's were flashing.

I took the control panel off and noticed a couple of dark spots on the ribbon cable that connects the circuit board to the control panel. I tried to wipe them off but they did not come off until I used some cleaner and rubbed much harder. I even scraped some of it with my finger nails.

I reconnected the control panel and what do you know, everything was running like new.

What I think had happened was that the dark spots were shorting out some of the runs on the ribbon cable. They must have been corrosion or oxidation of some type.

Has anyone herd of this happening?

What do you think?

Thanks
