What can I use to remove the paint on the front panel of a GE Dishwasher? Is it removable?

Why do you want to remove it.
The why may determine the how

Smile Paint removal on GE Dishwasher Door

The dishwasher was here when I moved here, and had some scratching on the front panel. Since I have Stainless appliances, and this is kind of off white, I thought I'd like to see if I could strip it down to the metal to match, or paint over it with appliance paint, anything but what is there now. Thank you for replying.

For the stainless look, remove the panel and buy a piece of stainless to match your appliances. It would be very difficult to remove the paint and get it to match stainless.

For a different colour, remove it, sand it down just to smooth it out and give a good surface then spray paint it. It is not necessary to get all the paint off but try to get any rust completely off.

Thank you Denman, I tried to take the panel off yesterday, and only succeeded in taking off the inside of the door, leaving the panel affixed to the outside, and upon further inspection realised that to be taken off, the door would have to be removed from the hinges where it goes into the body of the washer. Since there are cupboards on either side, and I am unable to pull the washer out, it looks like sanding and painting the wall colour will be what happens. Kind regards, N43
