Hello, I'm not sure of the model # of our Maytag dishwasher but it has worked perfectly until last night when I opened the door by mistake while it was in operation. Now its dead, just like someone unplugged it. I checked the breaker downstairs and it did'nt trip. Help! {my wife is not happy} Thanks!!! glos55

Some units have a fuse on the control board but need a Model Number to confirm this. Open and close it a few times, most likely a door switch.

Check the latch plate on the main unit for damage/bending
Close it and jiggle the door side to side and front to back just to see if it will get some power. Could also try faking a door closure with the door open, can do this with some units.

Hello, I have the model # It is MDB9150AWS Like I said it was working fine, then I opened the door during operation and it died. It was in the drain operation when the door opened. Thanks!!!

On my old dishwasher I had a similar problem. When the door closes a projecting piece is supposed to press against a plate. (There is a small hole and the plate is on the backside of the hole.) After being opened and closed enough, the plate slipped to the side and it was not being pressed in. You can usually use a screw driver to slide the plate back in place.
