Brand: Other
Model Number: zanussi DF4449
Age: 5 - 10 years

i hope someone can help. my dishwasher is old but very good. it worked fine when i re plumbed it after replacing my kitchen but i moved it slightlythe other day, now it fill's it drains and i think i can hear the pump but it wont throw any water around? and there is a burning smell? i checked the arms and there all clean and not blocked?

Sorry but have never heard of a Zanussi in Canada.
I could not find any technical data on this unit.

My guess would be the motor/impeller is jammed
Do not run it too long like this the motor will burn out
When you reconnected did you add a couple quarts of water before running?
Dishwashers do not like running with the sump dry. They can overheat and seize on the seals etc.
Remove power from the unit and rotate the motors armature by hand (if it is accessible).
Also make sure the motor has not been moved and is hanging correctly,

You will probably have to remove your spray arms to see into the pump unit

ok, thank you i'll have a look. i could not any data on it as well but have contacted zanussi by their web site for a manual, just waiting on a reply.
