Default Not Cleaning Good
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: dwu5902aab
Age: 5 - 10 years

Top rack dishes seem to always have food particles left and steam occasionally comes out of front door during drying cycle. Water level is good and both sprayers spray. How do i take out or find areas to clean? Empties into garbage disposal.

Is the dishwasher draining all the way or is water staying in the dishwasher?

You should not see any water at the end of the cycle.

It is normal for steam to vent out of the dishwasher.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model dwu5902aab.

Water drains completely out; bottom dishes are clean but top rack always seems to have food on it. Thanks.

Water drains completely out of dishwasher; top rack dishes always have to be rewashed as food is on them. Thanks

Pull out spray arm and take out the upper housing screws. Now clean out the screen plate. This should fix the problem. Also clean both spray arms.

As I do not have a book with this dishwasher am wondering how you take out the upper and lower spray arms. I see no screws. Thanks.

Should have a small plastic screw on top of lower spray arm. Look at pictures at partselect.com
