Ok so I got this dishwasher a week ago,and I know it's still under warrenty but I can't get a repair man out here for another week so I figured I'd try to fix if myself. So like I said it is about a week old and for the last week it has ran great, then yesterday I did a load and when the washer said it was done I went to pull the dishes out and noticed they were still dirty. All down the inside of the door to the bottom of the tub was the detergant,it had not washed away.So I did another wash and it was the same way after that.So I did some further investigation and tried to run it on a rinse only cycle with the door open and I noticed there was no water, and there was this horrible loud sound that is hard to explain but it's like a loud grinding or like something has come loose and is rattling around.I also noticed that the bottom or top arm were not spinning.I could hear what sounded like a little bit of trickling water but I never saw any.Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks.

Make sure that someone did not shut the water supply off.

IF the water supply is on then it is likely that the water inlet valve has failed.

The spray arms will not turn when there is no water.

The sound that you are hearing is the water that is in the sump.
