Here is a link to your dishwasher it includes a schematic
Maytag JDB4950AWP

It does not fill with water but does it continue to run through a cycle?
Does it do this on all cycle types re: rinse etc.?
Do any of the lights come on? If not there is a good chance the door switch is not working.
Have you checked to make sure the unit is getting power?

Check the float switch, some times it gets stuck. The float is on the left hand side, and it might have a cover over it. If it does take the 1/4" screw out, and pull the cup up and down, and see if you hear a clicking noise, that is the switch making contact. Then close the door, and put it in a clean cycle, and see if water comes out. If you hear the click, and you turn it on, and no water comes out, replace the water valve. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
