Default Need Help...Won't completely fill
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: gsd4010z05aa
Age: 5 - 10 years

Dishwasher has only been used for 3 years...First it was not draining, filling, really doing anything. We replaced the motor assembly and seemed to work, but still did not fill with water up to the heating coil (about 1/2 way). Thought it might be a small kink in the copper tubing...it wasn't (fixed it). Checked the water inlet valve and read infinity. Replaced water inlet valve and still doesn't fill. The reading is between 100-200. I am totally perplexed. The float seems fine and don't know what else to try. I don't want to have to buy a new dishwasher after throwing $150 into this one...Any ideas would be appreciated.

First thing is to make sure that nothing else is using water at the same time as the dishwasher.

The dishwasher is time filled.

Check the water pressure at the dishwasher.

To do this turn the water supply to the dishwasher off and remove the line at the dishwasher.

Hold the line in a bucket and have someone turn the water on to see if you have good pressure.

Check the screen in the water valve for dirt.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model gsd4010z05aa.

Time your water fill, should be more than 30 seconds, if not and the water pressure is good, you have a bad timer.
Also, dump a few more gallons of water in and see if the washer sprays better, this confirms low water level is a problem.
