Default Need help identifing parts
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSD1150
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a GE Potscrubber model #GSD1150 and had a repair guy come out and look at it. It was leaking water everywhere on the floor. Well he said it needed a main boot and seals and a control arm. A total of $200 in parts he says. Well I'm having a problem finding it in the parts list on the site. Could anyone help me out and let me know what parts he may be talking about? Thanks so much.

This rubber boot hardly ever fails. I think the motor/pump assembly is leaking Take the kickplate off the front and with a flash light take a look at the motor pump assembly as the dishwasher runs. Look for a leak dripping on the floor from where the motor and pump join together. If it is leaking look for rust near where the water drips off. Cost of repair is over 250.00 so go buy a new Whilpool and give the GE a place in the junk yard.. BEWARE do not put your finger near the motor as it runs.

Here is a link to the parts breakdown
GSD1150 Parts List

Do not know what he meant by control arm
Main boot he may mean the sump but could be the pump to tub connector

Your best bet is to get a small mirror and a flashlight
Remove the kick plate and find out for yourself what is leaking

Then you can decide if it is worth fixing
