Default Motor runs, partial fill
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSD513
Age: 5 - 10 years

I get some water, not enough to cover the perforated screen at the bottom, motor runs, no water is pumped to the wash arms. Motor will continue to run as if cycling. I defeat the interlock w/screwdriver and see the water coming in after a reset. Smells like it the motor or some component may be overheating. HELP!

Default

Here is a link to the parts breakdown
GSD513 Parts List

There is a filter screen built into your water fill valve
It is probably partially plugged
Shut off the water supply
Undo it from the valve have a pan/pot ready to catch the water
Remove the valve and check/clean the screen
You may have to disassemble the valve to clean it properly
Do not run without the screen, it keeps junk out of the valve.
If it got into the valve it could hold the valve open, causing a flood

Also could be low water pressure or the valve is not opening fully
