My Kitchen Aid dishwasher does not work during the wash cycle.

It will drain, fill, heat water and run through all its other cylces but the motor will not turn on
in the wash cycle.

The motor will turn on during the drain cycle.

When the wash cycle come on, I here a buzz near motor for a short period (couple of seconds).

I suspect the motor, but could it be the control board?

You will need a meter and the service sheet found on the back of kick panel. Check for proper voltage to the motor.

I figured it out.

On the control board one of the leads to the ICs that controls the wash motor windings had become loose. I fixed this and now the dishwasher is up and running fine.
