My Maytag dishwasher will not completely drain...I neeed help in how to look for the clog

If the dishwasher is not completely draining look in the drain pump.

Thanks for the info....I disassembled the unit by using your instructional diagram. Found a lot of food in the housing that I think was the problem. I am doing a test run rinse to see if it worked. Thanks a million for the diagram...I allowed me not to be scared to take the unit apart.
