Dishwasher leaking from a part in the front left coner of the inside. It's plastic, white, stands about 3'' tall. What is it, what does it do, can I find a new one?

Your description sounds like the stem associated with the water level shut-off float. Hard to believe that it would leak unless you have "whacked" (damaged) it somehow. Is it intergal with the molded tub/liner, or a separate piece? Is the operating water level OK?
