Default Maytag Dishwasher leaving dirty dishes
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MDB4100AWW
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hello all,

Recently our dishwasher has not been working the way we'd like it too. After running it, the dishes have little specks of food on them, the silverware isn't clean and there is all sorts of caked on detergent inside. We've had this problem before and when the Maytag repairman came by, we were told that the filter was clogged and it just needed to be cleaned. Could anyone tell me how to access the filter(s) and clean it (them) properly?

Thank you for your time,
John

The filter that needs to be cleaned is #6 in the diagram.

You just remove the spay arm and the top cover under it.
Lift the filter out and clean it at the sink.

Really easy job.
