Default Maytag Dishwasher Dead?
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MDB7100AWW
Age: 1 - 4 years

Never had any problems, shut the door, pushed the button, nothing. No lights, dead. Pulled the inside cover off and exposed the motherboard (or whatever you call it) and part of the board looks a little brown as if burned-not really obviously burned just like medium toasty. Not sure but the panel close to the brownish area seemed a little warm also. Should I throw another board at it and see if that's the problem? Any good tests to see if that's it? Any fuses to check?

Help please.
Thanks.

JB

Have you check your circuit breaker in your house panel?

There are no fuses in your dishwasher.

Check the two door switch.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model MDB7100AWW.

Thanks, I had already checked the fuse panel. I took the inside panel off the washer and saw there were no servicable parts, so I stuck a screwdriver in the door lock and all of a sudden it's working fine.

Maybe the lock was stuck somehow but alls well that ends well.
