Default Maytag 300 quiet series start/cancel button not functioning
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: mdb9750aws
Age: 1 - 4 years

The start/cancel button is not working. All other cleaning options and the delay button still function and light up. I would like to find the replacement part and the number to order a new one, for whatever I need. Performed tests but they all require the start/cancel button to function. Does anyone know what I need? I'm assuming a control panel but I can't find the number for my crummy maytag dishwasher.

Thank you

Check the ribbon cable that hook to the control.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model mdb9750aws.

I have the same problem and after inspecting the touch pad cable I see that the one lead connecting pins 5 and 9 has a small "burn-break" it can not be repaired it is too fragile a connector to repair. So i know I need a new touch pad.

I see that the control panel part number is PS920573 , however, I only need the touch pad part, and can not determine if the touch pad is included in the control panel part number PS920573

Are the touch pads included in the control panel?

can the touch pads be purchased seperately?

The touch pad is a part of the control panel.

Make sure you order with your model unless it is the same as the one above.

Just our experience....but, we've replaced 4 sets of controllers & touchpads. A bad design, says our service provider, that has serviced in Jenn-air and other makes. Part # 916944 (touchpad) & 919503 (control board.)

Also, Maytag (now owned by Whirlpool) has stopped honoring the one year warranty on parts. It's now 90 days.

We're not replacing the seal and chopper sleeve (The original was plastic...the replacement says it's metal).

Thanks Goodness For PartSelect! Thanks for your informative site!
