Default Manually operate timer
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: zbd4800x01ww
Age: More than 10 years

Start DW, after prewash, timer stops. Manually operate timer a few 'clicks' and it resumes to near end of wash cycle and stops again, manually operate timer a few more 'clicks' and it resumes to or just after dry cycle and needs to be manually operated again.
I replaced timer with a new GE timer (pt#WD38X113). This did not repair problem. Exactly the same thing occurred.
Any suggestions, besides new DW?

It may be a loose connection in the wiring.

There is a time delay card in your dishwasher that may causing the problem.

Would that be the electronic board in the panel--if so what is the cost to replace?

the timer "clock" stops while waiting for the set temp to be reached this happens 2-4 times in a cycle my guess is that the sensor is at fault unfamilar with your brand may be separite from thermostat
