Hello all! My diswasher makes an awful loud noise after the dishwasher has filled with water. it disappears after the wash cycle starts. It does it again after the water has been evacuated. It does it again when dishwasher going on to next step. The noise is also accompanied by vibrations. I've checked for debris around pump and filter. Could it be the arms? I need help! DT

What kind of noise is it?

Does it sound like pipes banging?

Thanks for your reply. The noise is more like a loud grinding noise as if the motor has problems making the pump function properly.

On the diagram that I sent can you tell me where you have checked?

You have a drain pump that is attached to the side of the wash pump housing and the wash pump impeller.

There could be something in either one.

I have not checked really anything as I don't know where to begin. I've stopped using the dishwasher until I have more info. There are no debris around the pump and have not broken any glasses or such.

To see if there is something in the pump you will have to take it apart.

You can not see the pump unless it is taken apart.
