Default Loud buzzing noise during wash cycle
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KUDS01ILBL
Age: 1 - 4 years

In Normal cycle, there is a loud buzzing noice with 43 minutes remaining that sounds like the buzzing of a selonoid on an apartment house door lock. This noise stops if I open and close the dishwasher door and the dishwasher continues normal operation. A repair technician thought it was the soap dispenser selonoid and that was replaced as well as the rinse aid sensor but the problem remains.

What signals the controller that the soap dispenser has properly opened? I suspect that the controller does not know that the soad dispenser opened and continues to operate the selonoid waiting for the open condition. The soap dispenser is open when I perform the open/close door intervention to stop the buzzing.

Is there anything else that might make a loud buzzing noise at that specific time in the cycle? - Thanks - Gil

It sound like power is being supplied to the soap dispenser even after the door opens.

This sound like it could be a problem with the board.

Default Belated Thanks!

Thank you, Sheila...sorriy it took so long to get back but my son inadvertantly imported a virus along with a computer game and it has taken me this long to recover my PC.
Regards - Gil
