Default Looks like it caught on fire/won't drain
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: DU806CwDg3
Age: 5 - 10 years

Inside my dishwasher it looks like the thing that holds the heat element is unattached and burnt. The 2 racks also look burnt. I didn't notice this until the machine quit draining. I hear the water come in, the soap dispenses, the heater works, it sizzles when touched. I took off the hose and drained it but now I'm too scared to turn it on if there is a possibility it did catch on fire....???

If the element caught fire it will not work know and the breaker or the fuse in your should have opened.

This may be the reason the dishwasher did not drain.

You will have to replace the element if it is faulty.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model DU806CwDq3.
