Default Leaking from the vent
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: jdb6510awp
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hi,

Once my dishwasher has finish cleaning and I open the door, it is leaking from the vent, plus I realize that when its running, the vent is always open. Consequently, it is very noisy.

My questions are

1) When is the vent supposed to be open or close ?
2) How can I test my actual vent to see if its really broken ?
3) Do you think the vent is broken or is it the remote that controls it ? how can I be sure .

Many thanks in advance for any advice,

Cheers,

Ben

The vent should be closed until the drying cycle.

Check the wax motor on the vent.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model jdb6510awp.
