My POS Kitchenaid is broken again. This time, I noticed that the door was reluctant to close, and made a different 'click' sound when latching. Now, it won't start. It looks as if the gap around the door latch seems ever so slightly bent down on the upper side. Is this enough to prevent the darned thing from starting? Do I need to remove the door?

It sounds like the door latch is broken and you will have to replace it.

You do not have to remove the door.

You will have to take the control panel off to get at the latch.
