Default KitchenAid Dishwasher: cracked cap, internal rear feed
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KUDI01FLSS3
Age: 1 - 4 years

The cap, internal rear feed part on my dishwasher is cracked. Two questions:

How do I remove the cracked one and install the new one? (I have removed the spray arm but am now stuck.)

I discovered the cracked part while looking for the source of a small leak. The leak does not appear to be coming from any of the hose connections -- the source appears to be higher than those connections. Could the cracked cap, rear internal feed be the source of the leak?

Thanks.

Is the leak that you have around the door?

The cap should Push to one side and lift out.

Here is a link to the cap.

The water that leaked was in the front center area of the floor -- pretty near the door.

Yes this could have caused your leak.
