Question Kenmore Ultra wash Dishwasher
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 665-110729120
Age: 5 - 10 years

I recently installed a new control board, now I get the clean green light flashing seven times intervals. I tried turning power off to reset, no luck. I did run the hot water at sink, before trying to run the dishwasher, the machine did work on Sani-rinse, before the green light problem started. Any ideas? Or solutions?

The green light blinking seven times can mean a problem with the heating element, a wire off the control, thermistor, inlet valve, door switch, motor or capacitor, failure of any of the components or siphoning of the water during the fill.

All the component will have to be check to determine what has failed.

Once the problem is fix the control will have to be reset.

There is a technician sheet in the toe panel that has the cycle sequence to reset the control.

Can you please verify your model number as I can not locate it in our database.

The model number should be correct. The serial is FM2101476.Stock is 79912, and the type is 577-0. Hopefully the additional info will help. Thank you for your feed back. One question, on the control board I replaced, there was like a small piece that snapped into the side of the control board, with two wires attached, and some type of link between them. The link looked a little dark , not broken, should I replace it?
Also you may be correct about the heating element, it looks a bit rough on the bottom side of it , just based on it looks , I think it should be replaced, but I wanted to replace a part at a time, since now, the parts wil be approaching over two hundred dollars.

OK that is why I can't bring a breakdown up.

The piece that you are referring to that has the two wires on it that snaps in to the board is a thermal fuse. If that fuse goes the control panel will go dead and the dishwasher will not operate. If it is dark if may be a good idea to have on on hand just in case it goes.

You should check the resistance of the element to see if it is opened. You should have about 20 Ohms resistance.

That' great, I'll order another one, just in case. How about the element? I am going to order one anyway, but if I wanted to check it, what should it read? Thanks for the input, great help so far.

Well I finally got around to fixing the problem. I ordered a control kit, which is the element and control board. I had to disconnect the drain , water supply and power, and then pull out the unit, to install the element. Once the unit was out, it was pretty easy to replace the element. The old one was definitely very rough looking and broken. Which I believe was the only problem to the flashing green light seven times to begin with. I then replaced the control board that came with the element, once everything was put back into place, the dishwasher worked with no problems, and still going good after a week of use.
