Default Kenmore Leak
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 17791790
Age: 5 - 10 years

OK - I've done a search on "leaks" and none seem to address what I've got going on. I start the washer and it fills and does the 1st cycle (?) then it drains, fills and starts a 2nd (?) - kinda new at this so bear with me - After filling the 2nd time when it starts to wash (spin the lower arms and top) I get a flood from the bottom of the door ?
Now I went and dropped the lower panels and this leak is not coming from the bottom fill or drain - So next I remove the door skin and wa laa I can see water in tub 1/4" just sitting there and when the actuator spins it throws water everywhere - I checked and believe the float is working correctly and the water level during washing is right at the bottom of the float. I have a black door gasket that goes around the top and both sides but not the bottom ? From what I can tell what stops water from getting between the door and the tub on my model ? This is very hard to describe so I will try and take a couple pics and post but I am at a loss here . . . . .
