Unhappy Kenmore dishwasher pump reassembly question
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 66515798791
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have installed a pump seal kit and impeller kit but I'm not sure if it is together right.

I put the pump kit and seal kit together. I put the black top of the impeller back on but when I turn it there is a rough feeling. If I push down on it and turn it is smoother. Did i forget to put a rubber seal between the grey impeller and the motor shaft? I don't want to start it until I am sure it is together right.

Here is your impeller kit.

Did you have any parts left over?

I do have the small rubber ring left over. I took everything apart again and looked at the exploded view of the unit. I don't see a place for that rubber seal. Thanks.

Some dishwasher use it and some didn't.

If you did not take that ring out of your dishwasher then you don't need it.
